Angels Among Us

I believe there are angels among us. They are the People, both departed and present, who affect the lives we are living by the examples they have set. In our ESA lives we have been molded an mentored and we have been guided by the lamp of learning as we followed in their footsteps. I would not be accepting the responsibilities of the California State Council President were it not for the influence that my dear friend Lisa Kolstad had on my ESA life. There are many others too, and I'm sure most of you have special memories of a sister who influenced your life.

I see the members of ESA as Earth's Special Angels as we participate in our many projects to help make life better for others - the children, the homeless, the ill, the military and even the puppies - name a few. And don't forget what we do for each other. You may not see the halos or the wings but there is no denying as an ESA member you always have an angel by your side: someone o catch you if you fall, encouraging your dreams, inspiring your happiness, holding your hand and helping you through it all. That's what angels do.

So whether it is the angels who guided our paths, or the ones who are still guiding and directing, let us celebrate them and embrace them as we work together in 2010-2011 to reach our goals and strengthen our sisterhood. My heartfelt thanks to those of you who have encouraged me and pledged your support. I look forward to our year together.
